If I could give less than one star I would. I took my baby (6 year old frenchie) to this vets over 2 days. I was getting mixed answers all of the time even though they could see how quickly my baby girl was deteriorating. At the beginning of the last appointment I was told “I’m happy for you to take her home” I told them that couldn’t happen as my baby could barely breathe after hours of being there my baby crashed and had to go on a ventilator but before my baby crashed they told me that if she happens to crash that they would call me to make full payment before intervening! I had to say to get me a form to fill out to interview so that if needs be they can intervene immediately and they still kept making the payment the forefront of conversation. I have money for my babies no matter what they need but the fact they were happy to let my baby crash and not do anything about it until I lined their pockets is absolutely disgusting!! Putting pets first is a complete and utter LIE. I have used vets4pets for over 7 years now but birstall is appalling and I will NEVER use this vets ever again. The main vet who saw my baby even laughed about my baby needing a tube in her throat when she then told me she could choke if it got blocked which she followed with a giggle. Then told me with boas surgery she would only have 30% chance of making it the when I questioned more as I was desperate to give my baby the best chance she upped it to 70% at this point I knew they were trying to get as much money as they could out of me even when every option they gave me would lead to a life of suffering for my baby girl. Even when I’m sat there heartbroken could barely breath from crying every other word was about payment. I never leave reviews but my baby was treated as an object that they could get money from and my baby is way too special to EVER be disrespected in that way. I hope you’re able to sleep soundly at night knowing that you put money over morals and that pets to you are just a money making scheme no thought or care at all!

We have a dog, Freddie who is very nervous which on occasions can come across as aggression. Esther, for the last few visits has been extremely kind to Fred, sitting on the floor with him and allowing him to do things in his own time. It has made the world of difference to our visits and I can’t thank her enough. Outstanding care. Also a shout out to Laura on reception and Amy who have been equally as fantastic in their interactions with Fred.

Friendly staff throughout the building, they all just loved our staff and she loved them even though she is so scared of the vets.
